PROPOSITION 65

California compliance information and safety standards for EuroStone products

California Proposition 65 Warning

Under California law (Proposition 65), manufacturers must provide warnings about products that may expose consumers to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

WARNING: Drilling, sawing, sanding or machining wood products can expose you to wood dust, a substance known to the State of California to cause cancer. Avoid inhaling wood dust or use a dust mask or other safeguards for personal protection.

WHAT IS PROPOSITION 65?

Officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, Proposition 65 requires businesses to notify Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals.

Proposition 65 also prohibits California businesses from knowingly discharging significant amounts of listed chemicals into sources of drinking water.

EUROSTONE COMMITMENT

Product Safety

EuroStone is committed to manufacturing products that meet or exceed all applicable safety standards. Our quartz surfaces are certified by NSF International and meet stringent health and safety requirements.

Installation Safety

When cutting, drilling, or sanding any stone product (including EuroStone quartz), proper safety equipment should be used. We recommend wet cutting methods, HEPA-filtered vacuums, and appropriate respiratory protection to minimize dust exposure.

To address the safety of the trade handling our products, we have switched all our productions to zero or very low quartz which is mostly composed of crystalline silica.

Safe to Use

Once installed, EuroStone quartz surfaces are safe for food preparation and everyday use. The non-porous surface resists bacteria growth and requires no harmful sealants or treatments.

Cosmolite® Technology

Our innovative Cosmolite® collection features ultra-low quartz formulations, providing an alternative for those seeking products with minimal quartz content while maintaining premium aesthetics and performance.
